We discover unknown or little-known literary IP deserving of a wider audience through film.
We are a dynamic film production company with a creative flair, crafting captivating stories in the vibrant hubs of London and Los Angeles.
The word “la yapa,” pronounced “la japa,” comes from tango-slang, a coded language known as Lunfardo. La yapa signifies the bonus you get when buying a dozen of something; that thirteenth doughnut, say!
La Yapa was a little black cat discarded on the side of the road. She became a characterful “extra” to the farm Rosvita was managing in Argentina, and a mascot representing the bit of extra La Yapa Films brings to everything we do: extra thought, extra care, extra commitment.
Our Team
Rosvita Rauch
Rosvita first optioned a screenplay in 2015 and has been working in some aspect of production ever since. As a writer, script supervisor and actor, and with a PhD in Comparative Literature, Rosvita is uniquely suited to producing films based on high-end IP.
Virginia Apicella
With a BFA from Cornish College of the Arts and Berlinale and as a Talent Campus alumni, Virginia brings visual and conceptual expertise to the team.
